Leave it in the fridge overnight and it sets into a jelly on its own. Leave it at room temperature and it melts back into a liquid. A jelly set with agar or gelatin never melts back — that is the gelling agent holding it up, not the collagen.
We add no gelling agent of any kind. It sets because there is almost nothing in the bottle but the collagen brewed out of the scales.
What collagen can do,and what it cannot be told to do
Collagen is the protein your body builds skin, tendons and ligaments out of. Swallow it and your body takes it apart into building blocks and builds with them again — and it needs vitamin C to do that.
What it cannot do is take direction. You cannot aim collagen at one line on your face or one sore knee — your body spends it where it is already working, and that is not ours to decide. It is also why this is slow: you are topping up a building material, not putting on a finish.
So the instruction is a short one. One bottle a day, in the morning, alongside something with vitamin C in it. Keep it up for 90 days before you judge it. And both doses are full doses — the 15,000mg is not stronger, there is simply more of it in the bottle.

- It comes in two doses of the same whole brew: 7,500mg per 100ml bottle — The Everyday, the full dose we recommend — and 15,000mg, The Flagship, our most generous. - What is the difference between Sugar and No-Sugar?
- Same brew, same dose. The Sugar version contains a small amount of honey rock sugar (蜜冰糖) — a traditional sweetener common in Cantonese herbal preparations. The No-Sugar version omits it entirely. Both taste of the herbs; the sugar version is a touch warmer on the palate.
- What is the difference between the drink and the jelly?
- Same bottle, different temperature. Refrigerated overnight, the brew sets into a silky jelly you can spoon. At room temperature it stays a smooth, fragrant liquid you can drink straight from the bottle — no warming needed. The dose and the brew are identical — texture is your choice.
- How long until I see results?
- It varies from person to person, and it isn't an overnight change. Collagen gives your body the building blocks it makes its own collagen from — a food, not a quick fix — so consistency matters far more than any single bottle. We'd say give it 90 days of mostly-daily use. Some people notice changes sooner, some later; both are normal.
